Nick Roth is a saxophonist, composer, producer and educator.
His work explores the liberation of improvisation from composition, the impact of natural form on technology and the contemporary interpretation of traditional music.
Nick is the artistic director of the Yurodny Ensemble and the Sefiroth Ensemble, and is a founding member of the Water Project. He also performs regularly with Matthew Jacobson’s RedivideR and Francesco Turrisi’s Tarab, and has collaborated with numerous international artists and composers from across wide-ranging genres and disciplines.
Nick is director at Diatribe Records, Ireland’s leading independent record label for new music.
