Kate Ellis with Crash Ensemble

Kate has been performing with Crash Ensemble in the US as part of an album tour. There is a really nice New York Times article on the Carnegie Hall gig here, where Kate features! Kate has also traveled straight from the US to Cork to prepare for the Irish premiere of Piazzola’s Tango Opera Maria de Buenos Aires in Cork Opera House as part of Cork Midsummer Festival.

Nick Roth and Yurodny

Nick built a really special afternoon of Baltic music for the Bray Jazz Festival. They really got the crowds dancing in a great outdoor mini-festival. You can read more about what happened here. Yurodny also had a 2 week Baltic tour in Norway and Denmark as part of the EU presidency and are playing at the GAIA festival in Switzerland tonight!

Francesco Turrisi and Arpeggiata.

Francesco is currently touring with Arpeggiata to promote their latest album. September 6th will see Francescoadding a third title to his highly successful Diatribe catalogue. ‘Corti’ is a unique record combining three musical formats in one album; Francesco’s working piano trio with Dan Bodwell and Sean Carpio featuring Clara Sanabras on vocals, an instrumental quartet ‘FRET’ with Nick Roth, Kate Ellis and Zohar Fresco, and a duo with Sean Nos singer Róisín Elsafty.

Michelle O’Rourke, Ergodos and Efterklang

Michelle O’Rourke is currently performing with Efterklang in Norway. You can also buy Ergodos’s new album ‘I Call To You‘ which features the beautiful voice of Michelle.

George Higgs and Love Live Music

George will be playing on Love Live Music day at a mini Christchurch Festival organized by Le Cool. He will be playing under the guise of the Acoustic Battery Company, which will feature George playing a variety of percussion instruments and banjo.
