There are a wide variety of different events happening this weekend, all to celebrate our national holiday, St. Patricks Day!
You will also see a variety of Invented Artists out and about, performing and workshopping. It’s going to be a busy weekend!
Resound – Kate Ellis
Kate Ellis’s project, Resound, will happen in a variety of rooms in the National Gallery, Dublin this evening (15th March) at 7.30pm. Resound is an exciting collaboration between musicians, artists and poets that creates a unique live experience. This special collaboration, developed exclusively for the St. Patrick’s Day festival is not to be missed!
The Lost and Found Sound Assembly – George Higgs
George Higgs is back with more exciting work. Saturday 16th and Saturday 23rd of March sees further performances of the new piece by The Lost and Found Sound Assembly, a new work by US composer George Higgs. The project is part of Dublin City Council’s Public Art Programme and was first performed at Ringsend Recycling Centre, with George joined by percussionist Sean Carpio and student musicians from St Mary’s School for Deaf Girls (Cabra).
Yurodny – Nick Roth
Yurodny, the Baltic-Irish music group directed by Nick Roth, are to perform on an outdoor stage as part of the St. Patrick’s Day festival. You can catch the wild and exciting strains of Yurodny’s music at 7pm on Saturday 16th March on the Dame Court stage in Dublin 2.
